Is it over? Please don’t tell me it is. It’s not as though I’ve wrapped my life up in you, we never decided anything. But after what’s happened… And now you haven’t called like you usually do… And it’s making me insecure. Which is weird. Because I don’t usually get like that, I’m usually stoic and strong, like my Dad taught me to be. But despite the stoicism and the reality of the fact that we agreed that we couldn’t change our priorities right now. I still don’t like what has happened, the order it’s happened in. I’m not saying I have regrets, but I’m saying that I think it’s weird what’s happening now. Do you think so? Or have you just been distracted. I hope it’s just what I think it is, you’re busier than I am right now. You haven’t changed your mind. I hope.

Alrighty. Well it’s been a while since I’ve written last.

We completed tech and had a successful opening weekend! Thursday was preview, and Moira and Alicia came. Opening night, Lauren came to the show, as did other department members, etc. Pegeen came into town on Friday afternoon and stayed with me, which was really fun. Friday night I dragged her to the cast party. She auditioned for the Theatre scholarship Saturday morning, and we then proceeded to gorge ourselves on Chipotle and Starbucks, and then take a nap. It was wonderful. Saturday night she came, as did Mom, Darcy, and Liz. I think Alex, Derek, and Jeri came that night too (?). Pegeen left Sunday morning, and Mom came to the matinee, and then took Kelsey and I out to dinner. Monday night consisted of studying for our Theater History II exam. Yesterday was Mardi Gras! So we had a mini Party: The P Word – Mardi Gras Edition. It was crazy. This morning was a little painful, and I missed Directing Scene auditions unfortunately. Also yesterday were auditions for Megan Perrin’s Savage/Love and Atra Asdu’s Clay-Coloured Sky. I got called back for Savage/Love today… We’ll find out tomorrow. (I’m a little nervous.) Right now I’m catching up on Biggest Loser online… Go O’Neal and Sunshine!!

I think that’s enough.

I don’t want K Word to close.

Things have been weird lately. I feel like I’m back to freshman year (or even senior year, really) of high school, where EVERYTHING is suddenly a big deal. Things that happen are being amplified and dramatized. And somehow I seem to be involved way more often than I’d like. I don’t really understand. I try to treat everyone equally, regardless of what is happening. I’m not saying I try to ignore issues and gloss over real problems. But I don’t like when other people are upset and I just want to have fun with my friends. I hate that so many people have issues and have such a hard time working them out. And I really dislike when others are upset, but sometimes actions are justified, you know? It really sucks sometimes.

Anyway. Other people (those without the issues) are auditioning for Montana Shakespeare, are planning apartments for next year, and are rehearsing for plays. So all is not lost; parts of my life and other important people are still surviving and thriving. Mom and Kurt are planning the final details for their cruise (and I am INSANELY jealous), though we’re planning our final details for the Florida trip. K Word tech starts THIS WEEKEND, and then my life is officially over, because on top of that final week of rehearsal I also have my first round of exams (Dramatic Lit I, Theatre History II and preview all occur on the same day, I might add).

So I don’t know. Things are a weird mix right now. Not to mention I’m totally failing at this school thing… homework is just not happening. Today (well, yesterday) is/was Tom’s 20th birthday! We had a great time going downtown to Buca for an enormously filling round of appetizers, entrees, and deserts, not forgetting the champagne and cookie cake upon returning to campus. So today was a mix of sucky and super. Hmm.

I really just want to listen to Christmas music. Remember when we were SO excited for Christmas? I miss that spirit. A lot. After all… There’s no place like home [for the holidays].

I suppose that’s all. Love and be loved.
